Do guys hate it when girls talk alot?

My ex-boyfriend (while we were together) told me that I talk too much.He was constantly telling me to shut up.And now with my current boyfriend,he gripes cuz im not talkin hardly.But i dont want it to be like it was with my ex.What do I do???!!!
