Does anyone remember a children's book series with 2 girls (rosie and Kay-yul?) who got into adventures?

I seem to recall one adventure was about bald eagles being hunted. Rosie always seemed to have a word of the day (circa was one) and Kay-L(spelling?) was good at baseball? They always ended up alone together locked in the back of trucks and the like. I can't reallly remember anything else, but if you know what I'm talking about, you are my hero.
