Huntington Beach, CA. Should I buy a Condo or House? or Rent?

I make over 120K per year. Will borrow from 401 for FHA down payment and closing cost. I can buy a house for upper 400s or a condo in the 300k range. Or rent. Any thoughts? Thanks
